Socio-emotional skills in the New Educational Model

For the first time in Mexico, socio-emotional learning (SEL) has been incorporated as a core dimension of the national mandatory curriculum. In the New Educational Model, “socio-emotional skills and life project” are included as an essential component of the high school graduate profile. In this sense, Construye T has been redesigned to offer the necessary pedagogical tools that will allow professors to implement the program in their schools.

What are socio-emotional skills?

They are tools that allow people to understand and regulate their emotions, to feel and show empathy towards others, to establish and develop positive relations, to make responsible decisions, and to set and achieve personal goals.
